Future Flaneur is the personal blog of Nick Francis, devoted to musings on the intersection of urbanism, bicycles and the act of flaneuring.

Nick is a Senior Consultant at Space Syntax Limited. Previously, Nick led the research of the Foresight Future of Cities project since February 2013, initially at the UK Government Office for Science and latterly at Space Syntax Limited.

In February 2015, Nick curated The Future City exhibition at RIBA and featured in an interview on Guardian Cities. He is a Young Urbanist at the Academy of Urbanism and featured in New London Architecture’s Smarter London exhibition in 2014.

Nick studied Geography at the University of Cambridge where he specialised in Urban and Economic Geography and conducted research into commuter cycling in London.
